GLENDA GREENWALD
Greenwald is a Brain Health advocate and activist, a social entrepreneur and innovator in the area of applied Brain Science. Greenwald organized the first Aspen Brain Forum conference in 2010, an annual meeting of International Brain Researchers in Aspen, partnering with the New York Academy of Sciences. Aspen Brain Institute’s event AspenBrainLab, started in 2013, as a one-day lecture series on Brain Health for the educated, sophisticated Aspen public from all over the world. In 2019 Aspen Brain Institute began shifting its position from a focus on fighting Brain Disease to becoming a global forum for advancing Brain Health. In response to the global COVID pandemic, she engineered a digital experience, launching ABI's virtual EXPERT SERIES in April 2020. The series represents a careful curation of some of the world's leading innovators and influencers in Brain Health and received registrants from all 50 states and over 100 countries.
DOREN MADEY PINNELL, PH.D.
Fifty years ago, Doren came to Duke as an undergraduate, where she completed all her postgraduate educational training. Dr. Pinnell currently serves on two Duke boards: the School of Medicine Board of Visitors and the Friends Board of the Nasher Museum of Art. She also is an honorary member of The Sheldon R. Pinnell Center for Investigative Dermatology at the Duke University School of Medicine. For almost two decades, she was the Medical/Scientific Liaison for SkinCeuticals and now serves on their Scientific Advisory Board. She also is the only non-physician in their Elite Women in Dermatology group. She has a second home in Aspen where she serves on several other Boards and National Councils including the Aspen Museum of Art, the Anderson Arts Ranch and JazzAspenSnowmass.
SHARON H. LOEB CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Sharon H. Loeb is a graduate of Tufts University and Columbia School of Law. Fluent in four languages, her years of international legal and business experience has taken her from Coudert Brothers’ New York and Paris offices in international trusts and estates to the European Economic Community in Brussels, followed by 11 years in Milan where she continued to work with European and American clients. During those years, she remained of counsel to Rubin & Bailin, LLP, a New York based law firm, specializing in business consulting and new venture creation/management for domestic and foreign clients. She continues her consulting work to this day, as well as practicing philanthropic activities, which are dedicated to the Aspen Brain Institute of which she is Chairman of the Board, and her board membership with the George Washington Institute for Religious Freedom, she was also, for many years, a Board Member of the Lighthouse Guild for the Blind, the ASPCA, and El Museo del Barrio.

LARRY HITE
Larry Hite founded Mint Investment Management Co. (“Mint”), and formed a 50-50 partnership with the Man Group (“Man”) to create and distribute alternative investment products. He led Mint to be the first CTA to manage over $1billion. Larry pioneered the principal protection structure concept in 1986 and since then has been involved in the launch of more than fifty principal protection vehicles with major institutions and financial organizations around the world. Mr. Hite has dedicated the last 30 years of his life in the pursuit of the most robust statistical trading programs capable of generating consistent, attractive risk/return relationships across a broad spectrum of markets and instruments. SHARON HITE
Sharon Hite is a philanthropist whose areas of focus range from supporting opera and classical music to protecting endangered wildlife and empowering vulnerable children to live their dreams. She is a board member of The Hite Foundation, which was established with the mission of assisting various cultural and humanitarian causes. Sharon is a board member of The New York Philharmonic, is the president of the board for the Little Orchestra Society, and is on the education committees of the 92nd Street Y and The New York Philharmonic. She is also actively involved with the Aspen Institute, the Aspen Music Festival, and the African Parks Foundation.
EMILY GOLD MEARS, J.D.
Emily Gold Mears is a native of Southern California where she currently lives and works. After practicing real estate law as an attorney, she transitioned to research analysis in the area of science. She consults for a New York based think tank and serves on several boards focused on science and medicine, including Aspen Brain Institute; KCRW, local public radio, Los Angeles; UCLA Longevity Center; and the Franca Fund of Genomes2People at Harvard Medical School. She is active in the Advisory Committee of the Society of Fellows at the Aspen Institute. A citizen scientist herself, Ms. Gold Mears has completed her first book on the critical import of science in the public domain.
JULIE MORRIS
Julie Morris is a longtime development leader for a diverse group of organizations she serves. Sharing her time between Los Angeles and Raleigh-Durham NC, she serves as the development chair for the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke and the Full Frame Advisory Board. Julie is also a a longtime board member of the National Council of American Theatre (Theater Communications Group ) where she has served on a task force for board governance while supporting theatre with the PlayMakers Repertory Company Advisory Board at UNC– Chapel Hill. As a member of the Cultivist, an international art access group, the Hammer Circle and Curators Council at the Institute of Contemporary Art LA, Julie enjoys plugging into the intersection of art and culture. Morris is an active supporter of the International Documentary Association (IDA), a Champion supporter for KCRW and a Society of Fellows for the Aspen Institute. She also supports the Visionary Women of Los Angeles where she serves on the topic advisory committee.
DANIEL PERLMAN, M.D.
Daniel Perlman is a retired Infectious Disease and Public Health Consultant with a trifecta of M.D., MPH, and MBA. He has recently helped lead a highly successful malaria eradication program partly supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International. As a resident in the Roaring Fork Valley he has contributed to Aspen Brain Institute’s Board leadership and currently is the Finance Committee Chair.
SALLY RANNEY
Sally Ann Ranney has a lifelong interest in brain health, mental acuity and creativity in relationship to time spent in wild Nature. She is Founder/President of Global Choices and Arctic Angels as well as President/Co-founder of the American Renewable Energy Institute (AREI) and AREDAY Summit. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Wildlife Federation and the Climate Accountability Institute. CEO of Stillwater Preservation LLC and Senior Advisor to One Humanity Institute, her environmental and climate change work is localized in action with global objectives. Ranney has worked with three U.S. Presidents, served by appointment on both Presidential and Gubernatorial Commissions, and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Horace Albright Award, the International Conservation Award, and three Lifetime Achievement Awards, acknowledging her 40 year commitment to conservation custody for the genetic archives and lifesupport systems of planet Earth.

Alicia Sirkin, BFRP, is an internationally known personal lifestyle coach who founded the Sirkin Creative Living Center, LLC in 2001. She reversed her symptoms of chronic illness by adopting a whole foods, plant-based, healing-prevention diet and lifestyle, which inspired her to coach others. Alicia currently serves on the President’s Council of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), where she is spearheading groundbreaking collaborations with the University of Miami on an innovative meal service concept designed to better serve those with special dietary needs. Also during this time, she helped integrate PCRM’s educational program “Let’s Beat Breast Cancer” into Student Health Services. She also serves as a Welcome Ambassador for Funding Arts Network and is a Jazz Aspen Snowmass (JAS) National Council Member. Alicia’s expertise has been featured in national radio programs, TV shows, and health and wellness articles. Her co-authored Bach remedy research is published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Complementary Health Practice Review and co-authored Bach Flower Remedies Quick Reference Guide is globally recognized.
RONNIE S. STANGLER, M.D. CHAIR, SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY COUNCIL, EXPERT SERIES COMMITTEE
Ronnie S. Stangler, M.D., is a physician and psychiatrist based in New York City. Founder of Genome Advisory, Dr. Stangler consults with individuals, global families and their advisors, bringing clarity and wisdom to their navigation of the new DNA science of genomics to enhance strategic planning regarding health, risk mitigation and legacy. An expert in family and organizational dynamics and crisis management, Dr. Stangler has served for over a decade as chief health and well-being officer to international families in London, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the Middle East.Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Dr. Stangler has also served as advisor to the Department of Genetics, Harvard Medical School, and the Family Office Executive Education Program, Harvard Business School. She is a founding member of AccessCircles and Chair of Aspen Brain Institute’s Scientific Advisory Council.
